Our client, a fully-integrated producer, packer, and marketer in the Food Production sector located in the *Citrusdal *Valley, Western Cape, is *seeking an Engineer specialized in Water and Energy in the Agri Industry.*

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in data-driven decision-making, maintenance management systems, and practical problem-solving skills to ensure optimal efficiency in water and energy usage. This role, within the technical team, will primarily focus on managing aspects related to Energy and Water, including project development, execution, commissioning, and ongoing operational support for the plant.

  • Minimum Requirements:*
  • Education and Experience:*
  • Relevant qualification (BEng/BSc Eng, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical) with a commitment to continuous learning.
  • 5 years of experience in the Energy, Water, Storage & Reticulation Environment within the Agri Industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Excel, Outlook, and CAD.
  • Ability to thrive both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong ability to engage effectively with industry experts.
  • Duties and Responsibilities:*
  • Leadership and team management.
  • Facilitation of systems & equipment design and optimization.
  • Effective metering across Residential, Commercial & Industrial sectors.
  • Proficiency in PLC & SCADA systems.
  • Maintenance of equipment utilizing CMMS (Pragma).
  • Data analytics and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Integration of data and information flow with internal and external platforms.
  • Comprehensive project management.
  • Execution of capital/maintenance works both remotely and on-site.
  • Management of energy systems master data.
  • Development of SOPs & internal training programs.
  • Analysis and optimization of resources to drive sustainability.
  • Integration and management of cross-functional teams.
  • Salary is market related.*
