Role Summary: TheVicePresidentInvestment isresponsibleforthemanagementofinvestmentfundsandclientinvestmentportfolios created by the Asset Management department. He/sheisresponsiblefortheachievementofbudgetedperformanceobjectives fortheFunds/Portfoliosunderhis/her management in compliance with established policies, procedures, standards and regulatory requirements The Vice President Investments is responsible for the efficient and timely execution of transactions and for addressing questions or enquiries in connection with the funds/portfolios under his/her management Role Description: Contributes tothebusinessdevelopmentplanningprocessinconnectionwiththe Investmentfundmanagement function. Contributes totheimplementationofthebusinessplan,withtheaim ofachieving setvolume,revenue,andprofit objectives. Focuses ontheachievementoftheassociatedKeyPerformanceIndicators(KPIs)tobemonitored periodically. Recommends appropriatepricingstructures/policiesre:Investmentfund management. Identifies newbusinessopportunitiesinconjunctionwiththerespectiveunitheadsandthereby contributesto business growth. Implements KPI’sandbestpracticesfor“VicePresident Investment” Promote costconsciousnessandefficiencyandenhanceproductivity,tominimizecost,avoidwaste,andoptimize benefits for the bank. Act withinthelimitsofthepowersdelegatedtothe incumbent. Contributes totheprovisionofvalue-addedservicestoexisting/potentialclients,with t heaim of meeting/exceeding clients’ performance expectations. Contributes tothetimelyandaccuratesupplyofinformationto externalandinternalauditors,GroupCompliance, and Group Risk - as and when required. Co-ordinates withtheOperationsDivisionre:thetimelyandaccurateprocessingof allfunds/portfolio-related documentation (e.g. Articles of Association, Information Memoranda, Investment Management Agreement, Investment Policy Statement, Risk Profile, Term Sheet etc.). Works withinthepermittedparametersofAMM’smandateforthepurchaseandsaleoffinancial securities Processes orders,formsandapplications re:thepurchaseandsaleofsecuritiesinaccordance withthe investment guidelines stipulated in respect of each individual fund/portfolio. Differentiates QNBAMfromitscompetitorsbymeansofadherencetothehighestprofessional standards. Prepares andverifiesinternalreportingasandwhen required. Provides marketintelligencetothosecolleagueswhomayrequire it. Works closelywith(andhelpstomotivate)colleagueswiththeaimofenhancingstaffand portfolio performance. Actively contributestodiscussionsre:theintroductionofnew portfolios. Contributes tothepreparationofInvestmentManagementAgreements,InvestmentPolicyStatements,term Sheets and etc. in accordance with the directions of the EVP Asset Management. Actively contributestothelaunchofnewinvestment-basedfundsand portfolios. Monitors closelytheperformanceofthefunds/portfoliosunderhis/hermanagementandtakesremedialactionif and when required. Ensures on-goingcompliancewiththearticlesof associationofeachofthefunds/portfoliosunderhis/her management. Monitors theregulatorycomplianceofthefundsandportfoliosunderhis/her management. Manages, controls,monitors,andassumesresponsibilityforthefundsandportfoliosunderhis/her management. Acts withinthelimitsofthepowersdelegatedto him/her. Is responsibleforimplementing anyactionplan which mayberequiredbyGroupInternalAudit,externalauditors, regulators, or Group Compliance, in order to address any potential control weakness or compliance irregularity. Prepares fundandportfolioperformancereportsasandwhenrequiredbytheHeadof Equities. Contributes tothemaintenanceandcollationoffund/portfolio-relateddataforinclusioninMIS reports. Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal compliance requirements including, but not limited to, Group CompliancePoliciesandProcedures(AML&CTF,SanctionsPolicy,DataProtectionPolicy,FraudControl Policy, Whistle Blowing Policy, Conflict of Interest and Insider Dealing Policy). Understand andeffectivelyperform yourroleundertheThreeLinesofDefenseprincipletoidentifymeasure, monitor, manage and report risks. Support theframework ofRCSA,KRI,Incidentreportingandremediation,asappropriate,inaccordancewith the Operational Risk Management requirements. Ensure highstandardsofdataprotectionandconfidentialitytosafeguardcommerciallysensitive information. Maintaining utmost confidentiality concerning customer and internal bank information obtained during the course of businessandprovidesuchinformationonaneedtoknowbasisonlytoSeniorManagementofQNB,Auditand Compliance functions, and relevant Regulators. All otheradhocduties/activitiesrelatedtoQNBthatmanagementmightrequestfromtimeto time Qualifications: Bachelor degreeinBusiness,Commerce,Finance,Mathematicsor Economics. CFA orequivalentprofessionalcertificationisa requirement. 12 years Fund/Portfolio Management experience, of which3 years should have been in a similar role, preferably in the Arabian Gulf. Required Special Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including report writing) in English, with Arabic an added advantage.
