Position Objective Lead and manage a group of Data Analytics based on portfolio/s assigned to the team and engage business units in providing strategic analytics input, throughput and output by performing a broad range of various work activities in related to data analysis, data modelling, dashboard, statistics as well as data preparation for multiple analytics related initiatives. Key Responsibilities 1. Lead the development and execution of analytical activities within Data & Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE) with regards to data analysis and statistical models in identifying business opportunities for acquisition, cross selling, retention and productivity management based on portfolio/s assigned. 2. Provide analytics thought process in developing customer journey and analyze digital footprint from analytical perspective. 3. Providing direction, vision and team leadership and oversee all analytics operations to ensure quality of analytics deliverables and at the same time hands on in day-to-day analytics activities. 4. Support Head of Data & Analytics CoE in building strong relationships with business within AFFIN to bring data driven insights in order to drive greater effectiveness. 5. Groom and coach analytics business partner/s for areas related to analytics projects and activities from both skills and knowledge perspective. 6. Stepping in the absence of Head of Data & Analytics CoE when comes to analytics principle and alignment with business units especially when linking projects or day-to-day activities to bank’s strategic objectives through self and team. Skills/Knowledge Educational Qualifications & Experience 1. University Degree majoring in Statistics, Mathematics, Decision Science, Engineering, and Research with min 5 yearsars of experience in any related field. 2. Preferably a Masters in a Mathematical/Statistics field. 3. Excellent knowledge of retail banking products & services, particularly deposits, investments, insurance, loans, and cards as well as segmentation. 4. Experience in developing predictive models and triggers in other banks or financial institutions. 5. Experience with credit bureaus or credit rating data will be a surplus. 6. Experience of exposure in product or portfolio profitability will be an added advantage. 7. Experience in leading small-to-medium size of team which comprises minimum 3-5 people from different gender, age groups, multinationals and experience. Competencies: 1. Possess leadership qualities and exhibit on-ground captaincy during both strategic projects as well as day-to-day activities with or without Head of Data & Analytics CoE in presence. 2. High impact and neutral team player and team builder in order to maximize the synergies between each of the pillar within Data & Analytics CoE which will play a part in the overall success of the Unit and Data & Analytics CoE as a whole. 3. Highly self-motivated and self-directing. Should have the required experience and confidence to independently manage, coordinate and implement an agreed plan of multiple activities. 4. Must have skills in Analytical Thinking, numerically strong, Planning and Organizing, Monitoring Performance, empowerment & Goal Setting. 5. Ability to manage projects while working under pressure, have high spirit and bring positivity to self and the team. 6. Change and crisis management. Skills: 1. SQL and SAS Tools (Enterprise Miner, Enterprise Guide, Visual Analytics, Campaign Management. 2. Excellent analysis & presentation skills: must have a good level of numeracy and be highly conversant with MS Excel & PowerPoint. 3. Strong project management skills are highly desirable. 4. Exposure in machine learning or artificial intelligence either both knowledge or practical will be competitive advantage. 5. Solid, demonstrable level of knowledge of the principals and practices of analytics. 6. Demonstrates leadership skills on a regular basis.
