The Division: NEWSTAR Enterprise , a product of Constellation HomeBuilder Systems , is the one enterprise resource planning (ERP) software system that grows with home building, condo and land development business. Designed for residential construction projects and business management, NEWSTAR is a production and accounting system that helps make faster business decisions, reduce costs and drive growth. Constellation HomeBuilder Systems is a division of Perseus, an Operating Group of Constellation Software Inc ., a leading provider of software and services to a select group of public and private sector markets. The Position: We are seeking to hire a SQA Analyst with significant experience and expertise in software testing, to work closely with NewStar R&D team and product managers to help ensure high quality and timely delivery of releases. We are seeking a professional will apply the needs of the homebuilding industry to the delivered and evolving NEWSTAR software (Homebuilder Sales to be precise), being supportive of Constellation retaining its leadership position in homebuilding software. Working a regular business day that ends at 12:00pm EST or later (PKT 10:00pm or later). The hired candidate will be located and work out of the Contour Software Islamabad office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the division-based R&D department. Qualifications & Skills:
- University degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- 5+ years of formal QA/testing experience, working on customer-facing enterprise-level software solutions.
- Experience working with databases and working knowledge of SQL.
- Strong experience and proficiency in manual testing, approaches/techniques, and test planning.
- Strong test documentation, test management, test execution, and reporting skills.
- Strong ability to escalate issues to the relevant teams in a timely manner.
- Strong familiarity with software lifecycle and quality assurance concepts, testing, approaches, and planning.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment is an asset.
- English speaking, writing, and listening skills at an advanced level proficiency.
- Ability to work independently, flexible, self-motivated, and a team player.
- Ability to interact positively and effectively in a distributed team environment.
- ISTQB CTFL or CTAL certification is desirable.
- Writes SQL queries to validate data integrity and as part of ongoing test efforts.
- Continuously refreshes and expands the understanding of how and why customers are using our Homebuilder Sales software (use cases).
- Demonstrates deep caring about user experiences, implementations, what customers are trying to achieve, and ongoing operational success.
- Does whatever it takes to achieve project milestones, with maintainable software that does not require rework later.
- Performs the technical, system, functional, and regression tests that will safeguard the product from bugs – through the back-end and through the UI
- Documents test plans, test cases, and bugs found during testing in Azure DevOps.
- Proactively delivers on product team deadlines, ensuring testing commitments are handled with risks mitigated, for timely and stable delivery to customers.
- Liaises with programmers so that commitments are delivered upon in a timely manner.
- Submits time entries accurately and completely, by the end each work week or Saturday, whichever comes first.
- Liaises with the program management team (Pacific coast North America) on a timely basis to provide production-quality screenshots, and accurate, customer-ready descriptions of the product details.
