We are looking for a motivated and experienced Solar Project Engineer with a strong background in utilities to join our dynamic team. As a Solar Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the development, design, and execution of utility-scale solar projects. From conception to completion, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of solar energy solutions that meet our clients' needs while adhering to industry standards and best practices.

  • Responsibilities:*
  • Lead the technical aspects of utility-scale solar projects, including site assessment, system design, and engineering analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and resource assessments to optimize project performance and maximize energy output.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and project reports.
  • Manage project procurement, contractor selection, and equipment sourcing to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee construction activities, perform site inspections, and address technical challenges to ensure project compliance and safety.
  • Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, including commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications:*

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in solar project engineering, with a focus on utility-scale projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing solar projects from concept to completion, preferably in the utilities sector.
  • Strong understanding of solar PV technologies, system design principles, and grid integration requirements.
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, and PVSyst.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including NEC, IEEE, and utility interconnection requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving technical challenges.
