  1. 1.0 OVERVIEW The position of Solutions Partner - Gaming is a key one at TransPerfect Translations. Solutions Partner - Gaming will provide solutions to challenging technical issues in a dynamic and exciting environment. Solutions Partner - Gaming will be responsible for ensuring that we have the correct technical applications, infrastructure and set-up to smoothly deliver high-quality gaming solutions to the client. Solutions Partner - Gaming is able to engage with our clients on-site or remotely, perform problem diagnostics, root cause analysis, propose efficient solutions and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), reporting regularly to our clients and going above and beyond to make sure they are happy with our services.   2. 2.0 DESCRIPTION Keep abreast of Game industry trends and technologies pertinent to the demands of our Gaming clients. Evaluate our Gaming clients' technical requirements, goals and challenges and propose bespoke solutions. Engage in regular communications with Gaming clients to keep them updated on latest developments, understand their feedback and follow up on any issues raised. Execute systems preparation, installation, configuration, testing, upgrading and patch installation for Gaming systems. Foster cooperation with relevant internal or external stakeholders to provide solutions to technical issues for Gaming clients. Assist with troubleshooting of technical issues, identification of root cause, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions. System maintenance, capacity monitoring, health and performance monitoring, utilization optimization for Gaming systems/equipment Implement system backup, perform database restoration and system recovery for Gaming systems. Respond to technical enquiries from Gaming clients. Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for the role and assigned by the manager/supervisor.
  3. 3.0 REQUIRED SKILLS Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, with a focus on client success. Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, interpret business needs and convert them to technical requirements. Ability to analyze, isolate and solve technical problems. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and deliver efficiently under pressure.
  4. 4.0 REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in technical field, or relevant experience 8 years’ experience working in a relevant technical role in the video games industry. Proven hands-on experience in server, application preparation, configuration, installation and troubleshooting. Experience with ensuring proper set-up of and compliance with security policies of Gaming Clients Experience with setting up gaming consoles test kits/dev kits and PCs for game testing. Project management experience, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Strong understanding of gaming industry dynamics and trends, with a passion for gaming
  5. 5.0 DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Experience with server administration tasks (security permissions, group policies, user/group administration etc.) Experience with maintaining infrastructure equipment including laptops, PCs, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, LAN, WAN and network segments. Experience with Unity and Unreal game engines a plus
