A new opportunity has come up with an international technology company.
In this role, you will work as a PostgreSQL and MongoDB database engineer in platform engineering team. Work is challenging and will involve working on multiple engineering and automation priorities simultaneously and under pressure. Out of hours and weekend work will sometimes be required.Requirements
To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:- Bachelors or higher in Computer Science
- Relevant certifications
- 5+ years in large organizations
- Banking background
- Excellent knowledge in PostgreSQL:
- Database administration
- Architecture and internals
- HA and clustering
- Monitoring tools
- Backup/restore mechanisms
- Patching/upgrades
- Auditing, logging, and security practices
- Performance Tuning and Diagnostics
- Database migration
- Good knowledge of:
- SQL and PG PL/SQL
- Unix/Linux operating systems
- Agile working practices
- Modern automation technologies (e.g. Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform)
- Scripting (Bash, Python)
- Other databases - MongoDB
- MongoDB:
- Database administration
- Architecture and internals
- Backup/restore mechanisms
- Database patching/upgrades
- Ops Manager
- Replicaset and sharding
