We are looking for dynamic, energetic and conscientious individuals that can support our clients living within their home environment. ** Permanent (Part Time and Full Time) Roles available based on candidate preference. ** Job Title: Community Support Worker Job Location: Auckland We are also currently seeking Support Workers for Waiheke Island (either based locally, or willing to travel via Ferry) - Open to those looking to work across either Auckland or Waiheke, or open to both. Employment Type: Permanent Full time (30+ Hours) or Part Time (Up to 29 Hours) Days of work: As this is community-based work, rotating rosters would be involved including am, pm and weekend work. Your preferred hours of work can be discussed during the recruitment process. Pay Band: $23.38 - $29.10 per hour (This is based on the Pay Equity Settlement by the Ministry of Health – hourly pay rates based on equivalency of Healthcare Qualifications assessed under Pay Equity). We are looking for someone who would be comfortable covering AM and PM shifts between the hours of 6am-9pm which would include weekend work . If successful you will be joining a team of skilled staff, working within a positive, calm and supportive environment. This rewarding role of a Community Support Worker involves (Job Responsibilities):
- Assisting the client with personal cares, home help, and meal preps
- Supporting exercise programmes
- Moving and handling using hoists and manual transfers
- Bowel and bladder cares
- Assisting the client to access the community
- Experience in assisting clients with their personal cares would be an advantage
- Experience with managing basic and complex cares and medical condition like Spinal injury would be an advantage
- Access to your own car and a Full Driver's License is a requirement of the role (as this is community based work)
- Confidence driving a mobility van would be an advantage (training can be provided)
- A Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Health and Wellbeing would be an advantage, however, someone looking at making a career in the Healthcare Industry would also be considered for this role (comprehensive training will be provided)
