Base Location: In the main, our roles are remote / working from home, with occasional travel to an Access office, supplier / partner or customer site. Some roles are site-based and if this applies to this role, this will be discussed with you during the hiring process. This role will be based in our APAC region and will work on projects residing in Malaysia (particularly Kula Lumpur), Australia and New Zealand. The role will need to liaise with UKIE colleagues and partners also. Day-to-day, your responsibilities will include:- Data Analysis and verification:
- Analyzing data to identify inconsistencies, inaccuracies, and anomalies.
- Understanding data requirements and specifications.
- Designing and executing data validation tests to ensure data accuracy.
- Verifying data integrity and conformity to standards.
- Developing and maintaining automated data quality checks and processes.
- Implementing tools and scripts for continuous monitoring of data quality.
- Defining and monitoring key data quality metrics.
- Establishing benchmarks for data quality and tracking improvements.
- Data Cleansing & standardisation:
- Developing and implementing data cleansing processes to rectify identified issues.
- Collaborating with data stewards and data owners to address data quality concerns.
- Implementing and enforcing data standards to maintain consistency.
- Working with stakeholders to ensure adherence to data standards.
- Issue resolution:
- Triaging quality issues that are raised from the business.
- Conducting root cause analysis for data quality issues and liaising with the development team regarding corrective actions.
- Communicating data quality status to relevant stakeholders.
- Implementing preventive measures to avoid recurring issues.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain documentation for data quality processes, standards, and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on data quality metrics and performance.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Strong understanding of data management principles, including data governance, data quality, and data stewardship.
- Proven track record of data quality improvement.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address data quality issues and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in data profiling, cleansing, and transformation.
- Experience with relational databases/SQL and able to construct unit tests to validate releases.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with data quality tools and platforms for monitoring, profiling, and improving data quality.
- Good communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to collaborate with and manage relationships with various stakeholders.
