The company has three manufacturing plants in Penang providing Car Multimedia, Power Tools and Automotive Steering systems. In 2017, Malaysia contributed sales of RM 615 million (127 million euro) and employed more than 2,800 associates. You will be responsible for all the technical engineering functions within manufacturing in the “Make” part of the entire value stream as follows:
• Continuous improvement to the production line performance (Fall Out Rate, First Pass Yield), equipment OEE, Problem Solving Team (PSS) team and success of new product launch.
• Design collaboration with Leinfelden in state-of-the-art machine software, hardware and new design concept technologies roll out in the manufacturing.
• Responsible for developing and program software code for customized equipment based on the functional specification.
• Responsible for improvement on existing equipment code based on technical requirements.
• Responsible for process flow in accordance with Bosch Production System (BPS), production line layout, workstation layout, material flow planning and direct headcount requirement.
• Responsible to coordinate and actively participate in Process FMEA, ensuring success in engineering build for New Product Introduction (NPI), including formulating all process engineering and production documentation and sustain the product until mass production.
• Responsible to train and guide Process Engineers, Trainers and Manufacturing Supervisors on processes, equipment or machines by transferring technical and process know-how.
• Responsible to develop use cases from I4.0 solution for the improvement of manufacturing performance.
• Min 15 years of experience in production engineering (new product introduction, process automation, machine hardware and software development)
• Min 3 years of experience in a managerial position in related field.
• BSc in Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to provide technical leadership through coaching and mentoring.
• Strong communications skills dealing with different stakeholders and diverse functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to initiate and react on changes.
• Knowledge of and experience with agile working methods.
