Consultant - Accounting Services

Description Requirement: Management Reporting • Review standard journal entries posted • Provide advice and guidance with regards to correcting entries required • Review of inter-company billings issued • Review of Intercompany reconciliations; identify and resolve reconciliation issues • Prepare month-end, quarter-end, year-end and statutory financial reports for APAC entities on timely, accurate and complete basis. This would include reports for group reporting, internal management reporting, statutory reporting as well as any agreed ad hoc reports required e.g. audit schedules, tax schedules etc. • Perform analytical review of profit and loss accounts and balance sheet, trend analysis and transaction posting checks on a regular basis and advising improvements and corrective actions • Approve balance sheet reconciliation in Blackline • Review and analyse the booking of accounting transactions, workings and account analysis • Finalise reconciliations and analytical review • Review financial statement uploaded from SAP to Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)• Evaluate cost centre and WBS structure in close co-operation with business controller • Review, validate, approve/ promote financial results in Oracle HFM in close co-operation with BU controller • Provide relevant management reports required by project and business controllers • Provide Ad hoc analysis for the requests from project and business controllers • Active follow up with BU controller to ensure corporate decisions are understood and implemented • Close co-operation with Finance Improvement Process team in order to identify, develop and implement improvement and standardisation initiatives Statutory Reporting • Key point of contact for communication/resolution of audit issues • Prepare the audit pack and draft the statutory financial statements that are in compliance to the local statutory requirements • To continually review processes and seek to communicate and implement changes to improve efficiency, particularly by leveraging on audit issues and findings encountered during the financial year • Responsible for balance sheet reconciliation & control • Responsible for GST/SST, Tax and Transfer Pricing reporting and liaise with tax agent • Provide Ad Hoc reporting for other local authorities • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, Group Accounting standards and SLAs Others • Responsible to ensure that statistics reports are filed with the local authorities on timely manner within the stipulated statutory deadlines • Contribute and implement corporate initiatives being rolled up • Initiate continuous improvement in the areas of operation Qualification: • Bachelor Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA/ etc)• 5-8 years of relevant experience • Member of Chartered Accounting Bodies, e.g. ACCA , CIMA, MIA • Experience in accounting and familiar with general accounting principles including IFRS • Basic to intermediate competence in SAP and Oracle HFM • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English • Possess strong analytical skills with proactive mind-set, with the ability to bring expert advice and problem solving skills to the team • Team player - able to work across different teams and contribute to a positive environment • Commitment in meeting deadlines Company Aker Solutions helps the world meet its energy needs.
