Network Application Engineer

Job Description

Close collaboration with customers, the program manager, product validation, and engineering teams at Intel. Primary responsibility will involve guiding Intel Open FPGA Stack and vRAN IP products through the quality-assurance process for deployment with RAN ecosystem partners. Additionally, the role will include but are not limited to the following: Assist in design debug, optimization and/or verification of high-performance FPGAs using Intel and third-party design software features (e.g. Intel Quartus Prime, Synthesis, Simulation, Compilation, Timing Analysis, System Debug Tools, internal/external Intellectual Properties, etc). If required, work closely with other stakeholders and orchestrate available resources in order to fully resolve customer issues and queries. Drive and contribute in benchmarking activities. Delivering product training, resolving customers' inquiries, demo and PoC staging. Driving results, embodying Intel values, and sharing knowledge with others in the PAE (Platform Application Engineering) team.Product Scope:Including but not limited to:o FPGA architecture and board designo Quartus Prime Software o BIOS, OS drivers, and Software Toolchaino Networking, Packet Processing, and DPDKo Fronthaul, Midhaul, and backhaul interface, IEEE1588 and SyncEo 4G, 5G, CU and DU

Qualifications

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 5+ years or a Master with 3+ years of experience in o Intel Open FPGA Stack and Board knowledge o Platform Software (BIOS, FW, Driver, OS/VM) and tool chains o Hardware Architecture, Hardware Systems and Subsystems e.g. PCIe, Ethernet and DDR o Technical Documentation, Technical Requirement Definition and Design o Customer Support, troubleshooting, and good communication skill. Preferred Qualifications: o Architecture Feature Definition o 4G/5G Wireless Communication o Networking, Packet Processing, and DPDK o Ethernet protocols, CPRI, eCPRI and O-RAN interfaces o Wireless Segment Ecosystem

Working Model
