Job details
We are seeking applications for the position of System Administrator UNIX/Linux. Interested candidates meeting the following criteria are encouraged to apply online. Job responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain UNIX/Linux operating systems and server hardware, including but not limited to Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, Ubuntu, and Debian.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls on UNIX/Linux systems.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and security updates in accordance with best practices and organizational policies.
- Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and capacity planning to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure the integrity and availability of data on UNIX/Linux systems.
- Perform regular backups, monitor backup processes, and test recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
