Lead Specialist (Examination Processing System), Examination Board Entity: Aga Khan University Location: Karachi Introduction: The Aga Khan University was found in 1983 as Pakistan’s first private university, Aga Khan University is a not-for-profit institution and an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network. Starting in 2000, the University expanded to Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, United Kingdom and Afghanistan. AKU began life as a health-sciences university. The Aga Khan University Examination Board (AKU-EB) is the first private-sector university-led trans-provincial Board (awarding body) in Pakistan established through the Ordinance of the Government of Pakistan. The Board offers high-quality examinations for Secondary School (grades 9th and 10th - SSC) and Higher Secondary School (grades 11th and 12th - HSSC/ FSC) qualifications for public and private schools across Pakistan. The Board also offers a Middle School Programme (MSP) for grades 6th–8th students and its registered schools engage a globally accepted approach, Project-Based Learning (PBL) to implement the MSP. The PBL is considered as a foundation of the AKU-EB MSP, helping schools foster sense of purpose and leadership in young learners. At the heart of AKU-EB’s mission is to shift teaching and learning away from rote learning and move towards higher order thinking, preparing students for higher education and lifelong learning. The Board is evaluated internationally for implementing global best practices, making AKU-EB qualifications credible and recognised globally. Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Lead Specialist (Examination Processing System) in the Examination Board. This is a contractual position with full-time benefits for the period ending December 2025. Job Role / Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director, Examination Board you will be responsible to lead the upgradation of Examination Processing System (EPS) project. You will work closely with the Vendor Project Manager, AKU Project Manager, and AKU Technical Lead to ensure that all deliverables as assigned are fulfilled within the timelines as agreed for the Project. Additionally, you will be responsible to:

• develop user requirements in coordination with the Sectional Heads of AKU-EB, ensuring that it meets the current and emerging needs of enrolment, registration, examination paper printing, conducting exams, marking, compilation, certifications and reporting
• document business processes including, the algorithm required for calculations; workflows for approval and controls
• liaise with AKU technical teams to ensure that the solution design is in line with the business processes
• develop functional specifications for reports, certificates, and graphs to be produced from the system.
• participate in conversion and migration of legacy system data to newly developed system
• participate in system integration testing
• lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in coordination with departmental heads and ensure that the developed system meets the specified requirements
• develop change management plan, ensuring that the business processes are aligned to meet the new requirements incorporated in the system
• develop user manuals, training materials and conduct trainings for all stakeholders
• provide first level support to the users after the implementation of project. Additionally, liaise with the technical leads for incident reports, special data requests and functional changes required in the system.

Eligibility Criteria / Requirements: You should have:

• preferably a Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or Information Management
• at least 3-4 years’ experience of managing/ coordinating enterprise information system projects in similar capacity
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• excellent planning, organizational, and management skills
• excellent data processing, documentation, and information technology skills
• excellent multi-disciplinary coordination and training skills
• excellent English communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
