Drafter / Sketcher

Job Description

• Receiving drawings of the company’s product designs (sketches) and delivering them to the person in charge of stones to provide the required sizes and different possibilities of stones in preparation for presenting them to the designers to choose the most appropriate.
• Drawing the designs received for the product and fulfilling their specifications accurately using various drawing programs (such as AutoCAD) and designing various artistic shapes (motifs) and presenting them to the first designer for review.
• Coordination with the Samples Department regarding the designs being worked on to express a technical opinion with any recommendations on the design in light of manufacturing techniques and methods.
• Draw and prepare the shapes of the designers’ designs, which will require manual carving (composition), determine their specifications, and send them to the relevant department for preparation.
• Presenting the writings required for the products in light of the groups being worked on for the designers to choose the best and determine the specifications for the writing.
• Prepare a sheet of film for the writings and drawings (motifs) of the designs in coordination with the various departments to verify the accuracy of the measurements.
• Continuous coordination with the sample work team and designers throughout the stages of sample work and until approval to implement any modification to the design in light of the designers’ vision.
• Save all the approved films for each group with design codes and record their technical specifications and thicknesses for easy reference.
• The final drawing of the agreed-upon designs (2D, 3D), matching them with the final sample, saving them, and handing over the drawings (places for installing diamonds - drawings for publication) of each model.

Job Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Product Designer or similar role
• Proficient with Rhino and AutoCad
• Ability to do sketches by hand
• Excellent design and conceptual skills
• A bachelor’s degree in design, applied or fine arts is preferred
