  • Millicent Mill is located in South Australia, Mount Gambier is the closest satellite town
  • Businesses: Family Care, KC Professional
  • Organization: 3 direct reports - accountability for a large team at the mill of approx. 100 employees 
  • Assets: 1 tissue machine, 5 converting assets
About You The Operations Team Leader will be responsible to lead a manufacturing and operations team across Family Care and B2B operations for Kimberly-Clark Australia. The individual will be a member of the leadership team at the mill, and will ensure we operate with excellence to serve Australian consumers. This individual is expected to bring outside expertise to continuously improve the operational capability. Key Accountabilities The Operations Team Leader is a core member of the mill leadership team and leads a sizeable Operations team in the mill to meet Kimberly-Clark’s Manufacturing Standards to achieve ‘Best in Class’ results Incorporate best practices in employee safety, quality of product and asset productivity In the areas of safety, comply with K-C and regulatory requirements related to EHS&S Lead by example to drive the right culture and capabilities to improve mindsets & behaviors Support the identification & mitigation of risks, and control safety & environmental hazards Coach teams to get to the root cause and drive both corrective and preventative actions Proactively promote, participate & support the Quality Management System Accountable for Quality KPIs – RFT Make, Customer complaints, COPQ Communicate importance of quality among production teams Support QMS requirements – QNC, CAPA, complaints handling and resolution Drive though leadership to maximize asset utilization, whilst meeting the required standards of safety and product quality at minimized cost Provide guidance and support to the operations team on the global and local initiatives/programs to build World Class Manufacturing Culture in the organization (LEAN, Reliability, OPEX, LSS, Sustainability, Digital Manufacturing). Coach and develop team members to ensure manufacturing processes are robust, stable and technical challenges are systemically addressed Drive Operational benchmarks and implement best practices for continuous improvement Provide leadership in the implementation of the facility quality system, ensuring all operational team members clearly understand the importance of process control principles, on product quality Own Leader Standard Work , GEMBA and Lean Six Sigma best practices in operations Lead the performance management and development of the team through training, performance management and career development tools Along with your commitment to delivering high quality products you will need: Degree in Engineering, Material sciences or related field At least 10-12+ years exposure in factory management/complex industrial operations with 3-5 years of is in an Operational Leadership Management position Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage large organizations Strong expertise in lean, six sigma in continuous improvement Evidence of background of specialized knowledge/experience in the particular discipline Proven records of working with stakeholders in a matrix organization and cross function Experience across categories (paper, personal care) will be an added advantage What’s on offer: Our manufacturing employees are some of our most important workers, our most loyal fans, and our favourite people, so we take care of them  very well. About You The Operations Team Leader will be responsible to lead a manufacturing and operations team across Family Care and B2B operations for Kimberly-Clark Australia. This individual is expected to bring outside expertise to continuously improve the operational capability. Key Accountabilities
