Account Manager – Residential Location: Remote Rochester, New York - successful applicants must be in or able to travel to Rochester, New York and surrounding cities. Ready to make a difference? To support our growth, we seek a Residential Account Manager to work in our Energy Efficiency division in New York. In this role you will serve as liaison between the ICF managed energy efficiency program and community-based organizations. You will have office and field responsibilities; some overnight travel will be required. Public speaking, training, and field support will be required. What you will be doing: Travel by car throughout the utility’s service territory in New York to promote the suite of programs. Develop innovative and cost-effective sector-based outreach strategies and communication plans that are focused on the development of relationships with key stakeholders in the utility’s service territory to promote the suite of energy efficiency programs. Conduct outreach to food pantries and other community agencies to encourage participation in programs and seek approval to participate in distribution events. Attend community outreach events, which may include events held on weekends or evenings, on behalf of or in coordination with utility’s outreach team. Field mentoring and QA/QC of residential focused energy efficiency work performed. Schedule and staff special events at big box retail locations during evenings and weekends as necessary. Conduct outreach to pool, heating and plumbing supply houses and distributors to train staff on programs, deliver program collateral, support, and lead events to promote the residential rebates program. Recruit and manage new suppliers and contractors that will promote the programs to customers. Up to 75% travel within Rochester and surrounding cities. What you need to have (Minimum Qualifications): Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction, Architecture, Sustainability, Business, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines with 1+ year(s) professional experience in the residential energy efficiency market, account management, customer engagement and/or related experience OR High school diploma with 5+ years professional experience in the residential energy efficiency market, account management, customer engagement and/or related experience Must have valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check. What we would like you to have (Preferred Qualifications): Knowledge of energy efficient building practices and technologies Strong working knowledge of basic business principles and successful business practices/strategies Familiarity with building principles, energy audits, and energy savings calculation BPI Building Analyst Certification or RESNET HERS Rater Certification Experience working on successful energy efficiency programs Utility experience and understanding of Demand Side Management (DSM) program implementation Bilingual – Spanish proficiency preferred. Outreach experience with community-based organizations. Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
