Job Purpose: Responsible for engineering, drafting, and planning of electrical facilities. The work includes, but is not limited to, the preparation of designs, reports, studies, layouts, and estimates for the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems facilities and engineering work in a GPO. Job Responsibilities: - Conduct assessments to identify and qualify vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability. - Draft and distribute RFPs to potential vendors, outlining the specifications and requirements for products or services needed. -Perform detailed cost analyses to identify optimal procurement options aligned with budget constraints and quality standards. - Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous contract terms and conditions. - Keep procurement activities compliant with internal policies and external regulations. - Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure the purchased materials meet all necessary quality metrics. - Oversee the entire ordering process, from initial requisition to final delivery, ensuring timeliness and accuracy. - Maintain and nurture relationships with suppliers for long-term partnership and potential cost savings. - Serve as the point of contact between engineering departments and suppliers to clarify technical specifications or resolve issues. - Administer supplier contracts and agreements, ensuring they meet both short-term needs and long-term strategic goals. - To plan, organize, review specifications and evaluate the work of consultants, contractors, and others. MEP Engineer knows MS Office, AutoCAD, and Construction Project management software. - To prepare plans, details, specified and cost estimated of plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning and general piping system. - To provide technical advice to staff designer, supervisor, inspector, and contracting service provider regarding installation and maintenance of MEP System. - MEP System has to analyze mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing engineering problems and formulate solutions. - To identify problems in the design, planning, manage and delivering multiple projects. - To prepare and deliver effective oral presentations whenever required. - Advise the Project Director of any technical aspects of the mechanical services that may affect construction progress, e.g quality or snag. - Manage the day-to-day work of the MEP team. Education and Experience: - Bachelor’s in technology (Mechanical)- Minimum 5 years’ experience of working in procurement department, worked as a MEP Engineer and has experience in healthcare projects, facility management, fit-out & renovation. - Candidate with additional Fire-fighting experience will be an advantage - Experience of UAE authority rules & regulations - Procurement experience well versed in P2P cycle - Must have UAE valid driving license #J-18808-Ljbffr
