Listed on London Stock Exchange; Member of the FTSE 250 Index. As the Specification Engineer you will develop and manage product specifications for duct insulation and passive fire protection. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain good relationship with specifiers, government departments and key customer accounts to enhance Morgan brand in the market place.
  • Manage designated consultant target list as “key accounts”. Understand their structure decision makers and roles they play.
  • Provide detailed technical support to stakeholders, illustrating product capabilities and proper application techniques specific to ducts.
  • Report monthly on activity highlights and lowlights.
  • Communicate continuously with sales personnel on upcoming projects. Make sure hand over of projects from specification stage to sales stage is clear and well documented.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to identify and anticipate customer needs, and ensure that products meet or exceed these needs.
  • Attend external and internal training to keep up to date on new products and developments and techniques.
  • Design and conduct training programs on duct insulation and passive fire protection product specification for internal teams and external partners.
  • Support the Sales Managers and Sales team, with input towards technical meetings, technical data documentation, legal, warranty issues and customer complaints
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality Management, Environmental Management and Health and Safety Management Systems.
  • Undertake such additional duties, which may from time to time be assigned to the employee in the discharge of his duties.
  • Understand and interpret customer specifications and requirements, and communicate this information to the product development and engineering teams.
  • Pre-qualification and registration of company/product/system with clients and end users.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of local and international fire protection regulations, ensuring all products and practices comply.
  • Track and analyse industry trends and competitor products, and make recommendations for product development and improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and manufacturing, to ensure product development is on schedule and meets customer needs.
  • Work with the Marketing team to create effective communication strategies targeting specification influencers in the duct insulation and fire protection sector .
  • Develop & Train necessary System Integrators for installation and selectively supervise the installation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in specification management, specifically in the Building & Construction fire protection industry.
  • Proficiency in English and with Arabic
  • Willingness to travel and relocate across the region as required.
