Job Description A luxury private island resort in Palawan is in need of an Assistant Island Chief Engineer to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate, reporting to the Island Manager, will be responsible for the management of the Engineering team and its responsibilities such as overseeing major mechanical systems throughout the resort, ensuring that all systems are fully operational. The Assistant Island Chief Engineer will create and implement preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment, machines and buildings in the island as well as technical improvements, utilities consumption control, and new structural development in the property. Job Qualifications Licensed Engineer - Mechanical, Electrical, or any related engineering discipline Five years of combined experience in international 5* hotels and resorts, preferably island resorts and in the Maldives a plus Knowledgeable on water quality, solid waste management, drainage and sewage systems, and occupation on forest areas and wetlands in compliance with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Knowledgeable in the preventive maintenance of the following: Airconditioning units Generator sets Desalination plant Sewage treatment plant Speedboat, Rubber boat, Jet ski and pump boat machines Barge Swimming pool and pond motor pumps Solar heater Kitchen equipment Plumbing fixtures and accessories Experience in pre-opening operations Oral and written fluency in local language and English languages Excellent management, communication, and leadership skills Island person Willingness to be based in Palawan, Philippines Local candidates in the Philippines only How to apply to this job Interested candidates may apply online by clicking the: and following the instructions.
