Job Purpose: Position of Financial Analyst is primarily involved in providing day to day support to the Management Accounting Department. The role includes assisting in the accurate compilation of the Company's Annual Budget, Reporting to Internal and External Parties, and maintaining internal and external costing rates. Job holder needs to have sound knowledge of accounting standards and departmental procedures, proficiency in accounting software such as Oracle Financials and advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (e.g. MS Excel and Power Point) is must for the job.) Responsibilities :

  1. Input and process monthly costing allocations to ensure accurate charging to Company’s Business Units.
  2. Assist in the compilation and preparation of the Company’s annual Budget and forecasts.
  3. Perform financial variance analysis on the budgets of the company.
  4. Assist in preparation of costing requirements, including accounting bulletins, corporate overhead allocation, and costing analysis.
  5. Generate periodic and ad-hoc reports to assist management in decision making, including crude and production reports, financial and statistical reports, and information packages.
  6. Assist senior analysts, superintendents, and manager in solving queries to external parties such as Bapco Energies, Ministry of Oil and Ministry of Finance and National Economy.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge Skills and Experience Accounting Qualification or BSc / Diploma and 5 years relevant experience.
  • Understand Bapco accounting policies and standards as they relate to his area of responsibility.
  • Be familiar with the activities of other sections in Financial and Management Accounting and the jobs of his peers.
