A Quality and Safety Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that an organization maintains high standards of quality and safety in its products, services, processes, or operations. The coverage of this role varies across entities and geographies depending on the needs of the business. The Quality and Safety Engineer is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality and safety programs and processes within the group organization and wholly owned business entities. This role ensures that products or services meet established quality standards and comply with safety regulations to minimize risks and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Maintenance and Compliance of the QMS • Management, co-ordination, and attendance where appropriate of Quality and Safety meetings • Diligent record keeping and tracking actions to closure of deviations and nonconformities. • Alignment consistency of the QMS across BSL entities and geographies • Ensure functional alignment with any processes and procedures being adopted by BSL and its Shareholder RequirementsBachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Quality Management, Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, etc.) or equivalent work experience. • 5+ Years experience in a quality role. Safety experience is preferred as an addition but not essential • Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA). • Quality Assurance Qualification: Ideally ISO 9001:2015 Auditor or Lead Auditor Trained is preferred. BSL HEAD OFFICE ROLE PROFILE: QUALITY AND SAFETY ENGINEER • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems. • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Technician, Certified Safety Professional) are desirable. • A good understanding and or experience of Human Resource Requirement, Solutions & People Management.
