*Woodcot Lodge in Gosport is a CQC rated Good nursing home with a recovery and assessment suite to support people following discharge from hospital for a period of up to 28 days.*Our Short Term Bedded Services aim to support timely discharges, admission avoidance and community options for Hampshire residents to enable a strengths-based and person-centred assessment. We’re working in partnership with Hampshire Hospitals and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board to deliver these services.*About the role:*As a qualified *Occupational Therapist* you'll provide person-centred functional analysis and interventions, through the enactment of social care legislation and local government requirements. This is informed by occupational therapy clinical knowledge, skills and values. There is a particular responsibility to work as an independent practitioner.*Key responsibilities:** Complete and/or support the completion of a range of functional assessments and reviews that will identify needs, options and promote wellbeing and maximise independence.* Undertake the assessment, planning and review for safeguarding cases.* Provide, and ensure the staff and/or services you supervise, information and advice using a professional understanding in the application of legislation and guidance.* Actively build and maintain relationships with other professionals and work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.* Demonstrate own professional practice and meet the requirements of registration.*Qualifications and skills:*You will have the following knowledge, skills and behaviours:* Occupational Therapy qualification and registration.* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.* An understanding of the statutory duties of local government in social care.* Ability to understand best value principles and resource constraints.* Understand equalities issues.* Understand data protection and confidentiality.*Benefits:** Competitive salary and benefits package.* Access to Local Government Pension Scheme.* A minimum 24 days annual leave entitlement.* Opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive environment.* Chance to make a real difference to the lives of the residents.Whether you’re newly qualified or an experienced practitioner looking for a new challenge, we’d love to hear from you.
