As an Application Support Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Engineering Platform and Experience team, your role involves being a seasoned member of an agile team, tasked with designing and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. This team provides a world class set of tools to enable the 40K technical employees of JP Morgan to deliver industry leading technical solutions to their customers. You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software life-cycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. Job responsibilities

  • Provide support and maintenance for the company's DevOps Infrastructure and Applications.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Plan, Create CI/CD and Deployment pipelines.
  • Collaborate with development and operation teams to ensure smooth software releases and deployments.
  • Monitor system performance and identify areas to improve in terms of efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for proactive issue detection and resolution.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure proper configuration management and version control practices.
  • Participate in incident response and resolution, including root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in DevOps and automation.
Required qualifications, Capabilities, and skills 
  • Previous technical experience in application support with exposure to SDLC practices.
  • Experience with technical support of applications or platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise in a development language such as Java or Python or scripting languages such as Java Script, Bash or PowerShell.
  • Understanding of CI/CD Pipelines in a globally distributed environment using Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, Docker registry, etc.
  • Experience with micro-services, Unix, Linux
  • Experience of Agile Methodologies (Scrum/Kanban, Test Driven Development etc)
  • Experience in a DevOps or support role, working with CI/CD tools and infrastructure automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Support knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus
  • Experience in data mining and querying against databases
  • Experience and comfortable working in a high paced dynamic environment
