Daystar Power Group is a Pan-African provider of solar and hybrid power solutions, offering its systems on a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), fixed monthly fee lease, or buy-out basis. All our solutions are accompanied by comprehensive maintenance services, to ensure the solutions run 365 days a year. We are currently operational in seven countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Senegal, and Ivory Coast, and have recently launched in South Africa and Tanzania. Daystar Power Group is looking to engage a competent  Analyst, Business Intelligence & Strategic Projects. The analyst will contribute to the success of Daystar by supporting the Business Intelligence and Strategic Projects functions. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our energy systems by extracting meaningful insights from complex datasets to drive strategic decision-making. Responsibilities include business analysis, data analysis, KPI development, dashboard creation, providing strategic insights through financial analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address business needs.   • Continuous Monitoring of Power-Generating Assets: Oversee the monitoring and analysis of network performance, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our renewable energy systems.
  • Performance Analysis: Conduct in-depth performance and root cause analysis to identify and address network issues, implementing preventive measures.
  • Strategic Project Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide support on high-priority strategic projects, contributing analytical insights and expertise
  • Data Analysis: Utilize advanced data analytics techniques to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets related to renewable energy production, consumption, and operational efficiency.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the quality control of network operations through regular reviews, audits, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • KPI Development: Contribute to the definition and development of key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and monitor business performance.
  • Strategic Insights: Provide strategic insights by conducting financial analysis, cost optimization studies, and evaluating the performance of renewable energy projects.
Requirements 1. Education : Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics or Business Analytics, etc. 2. Experience :
  • 1 – 5 years of proven experience with a successful track record in similar functional environments such as business intelligence, management consulting, strategy and business analysis, business operations
  • Proven experience in breaking down and solving complex problems through quantitative thinking and analysis
  • Proven experience in the renewable energy sector
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and business intelligence software.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
