Technical Project manager BI

Position – Technical Project Manager - BI Job Overview : The BI Manager is responsible for ensuring project delivery is successful. The BI Manager will create tasks, prioritize, assign and follow up to ensure the developers are engaged. The BI Manager will mentor and coach the developers in technical areas as well as best practices. He will be accountable for the development of ETL and reporting solutions necessary to support the business activities Duties & Key Responsibilities : • Extensive experience in Azure stack – Data Lake and surrounding ecosystem development from Solutioning, design and implementation perspective • Experience in building the data governance framework, data lineage and data audit for OLTP and OLAP applications • Experience in data warehousing. • Expertise in migrating on premise databases to Azure SQL DB • Good understanding of other Azure services • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills • Experience with integrating with various Cloud data storage systems • Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills to create technical documentation • Good exposure to SQL and Data modelling • The BI Manager will be responsible for monitoring work quality and deadlines for the team. He will follow up and validate the team’s deliverables and coach team members while contributing in the development of the project • The BI Manager will be accountable for monitoring and successful completion of the daily ETL jobs and successful delivery of the enterprise reports. He will ensure the data is complete, accurate, on time and fulfils the reporting needs of the business users. • Accountable for the developer productivity and quality. Will perform impact analysis, find root cause, review code and coach the team in technical areas and best practices. Should always be on the lookout for opportunities to improve the project delivery and come up with innovative ideas. Should be pro-active to spot issues early on and fix them. • Familiar with the latest technologies in MSBI, PowerBI, data visualizations, Excel, etc and other necessary tools required for reporting. Should work towards improving the technical and domain knowledge on a constant basis • Should have excellent communications skills and be able to represent the BI team in meetings. Should be able to do requirements analysis and get clarifications from business use Preferred Skills: • Proficient in Microsoft Business Intelligence Tools & Data analysis, Warehousing concepts (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI)• Should have knowledge on Tabular Models, star and snowflake schemas, multi-dimensional modeling, Transact-SQL. • Experience in migrating workloads from on-premise to cloud and cloud to cloud migration • Excellent knowledge in ETL development using ETL tools, including SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and RDBMS systems like SQL Servers. • Excellent source code management skills and experience with Configuration Management tools • Understanding of the traditional Software Development Life Cycle • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and MPP)• Good verbal and written communication skills • Solid analytical and problem solving abilities • Creative, self-motivated and a detail-oriented personality • Should be a good team player    SSIS Developer,SSRS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI, Tabular Models, star and snowflake schemas, multi-dimensional modeling, Transact-SQL, on-premise to cloud and cloud to cloud migration,ETL development using ETL tools, including SQL Server Integration Services (S Designation: TPM - BI Vacancies: 2 Experience: 8.0 Year(s) - 10.0 Year(s)
