Exciting opportunity for a Delta V Automation Engineer to join a leading Cork Pharmaceutical company on a long term hourly rate contract. Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for the plant control system (Emerson Delta V, Allen-Bradley PLC)
- Co-ordinate the systems support activities in a multi-product manufacturing facility.
- Providing day to day Automation Technical Support to Value Streams, Operations and Process Teams
- Managing Plant information Systems Support by ensuring that all archiving, storing and retrieval of data complies with regulatory requirements
- Developing documentation for supporting the operation of the DCS e.g. SOP's, Impact assessments, change controls, design documentation, verification documents and reports
- Carrying out system upgrades & system migrations, monitoring and verification of overall system health which includes carrying out system periodic reviews and user access review assessments
- Managing the history of Distributed Control Systems and the continuous information
- Take ownership of plant control systems to ensure that they are capable of providing manufacturing automation solutions that can be executed safely and compliant with regulatory agencies
- Identify hazards, assess their relative risk and incorporate recommendations into your everyday support of systems change and process improvements
- Support Recipe testing and change-overs
- Developing Technical skills and sharing these with all colleagues to improve the effectiveness of site systems.
- Provide systems technical support in order to sustain & improve the automated processes on site
- Using Right First Time tools trouble-shoot and provide sustainable solutions for root cause problems ensuring 100% Manufacturing Right First time and implementing sustainable system CAPAs following any deviations. e.g. change control, deviations, 6 sigma Method 1 investigations, Area Information Centres etc.
- Work closely with the Safety, Operations, Engineering, Quality Operations, Value Stream Teams and Digital to ensure automated manufacturing and support activities are executed with zero SIIs and zero defects
- Provide 24 x 7 technical support of all manufacturing systems as part of a dedicated team of technically competent colleagues who guarantee highly available automation systems.
- Level 8 bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- 4+ years experience in Pharma working with Delta V.
