Transformational Mechanical Engineering Director

Job Title, Internal

• Lead a dynamic team of 70+ Mechanical Engineers performing end-to-end design from Product to Packaging, in support of all Music Tribe Brands, globally.
• Manage strategic and tactical aspects from Design, Scopes and development of new mechanical engineering projects and manages them through their life-cycles.
• Up-to-date with the latest trends and actively utilize cutting-edge technologies in the field of Mechanical Engineering in compliance with DfX (Design for Excellence).
• Proactively seek continuous improvement and introduce new ways of design methodology to improve Quality, Delivery and Cost.
• Provide plans, strategic directions and resolutions to Senior Leaders.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Mechanical Design, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Highly analytical and well-organize with excellent Project management and Leadership skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end Mechanical Design process, from conceptualization to fabrication to EOL.
• Expertise in CAD design and simulation tools (preferably On-Shape but not a must).
• Knowledgeable in Metal, Rubber, Plastic, other Exotic and new materials.
• Able to multitask a variety of duties and work requests.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and partners from different cultural backgrounds.
• A strong, aggressive, and innovative mindset, with a focus on driving results.
• Self-motivated and works well under pressure with changing priorities and workloads.
