The Opportunity An opportunity the take a key senior role working with directors and execs on developing business development strategy across all of their NZ markets. This is a newly created position where you will have the opportunity to define the role, its delivery, and how it supports the wider business. The Company A leading NZ-owned market leader, passionate about delivering high-quality work and leading product and customer experience. They are fast-paced, work in all weather, and enjoy a challenge. Due to ongoing growth, they are now looking for a GM of Sales Manager (National) to grow the business and further cement their brand and place within the national market. This role will suit a strategic operator who can challenge directors and senior leaders on business vision and direction The role

  • Develop and facilitate sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a sales team (2 managers and 12 Sales staff), providing guidance and mentoring to ensure their success
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining and nurturing existing strategic relationships
  • Develop and manage customer reporting engagements and conversions, ensuring the business is at the forefront of an ever-changing market
  • Participate in the preparation of strategic business plans
  • Lead and manage the development of business opportunities from both new and existing channels
  • Clear understanding of pricing strategies and their impact on margin and profit positioning
  • Work closely with the Marketing Gm on cohesive commercial direction
  • Develop a sales plan for the business – expand the segments and market positioning. 
  • Develop Direct, Retail, and Wholesale channel strategies. 
  • Strategic national & major account management.
  Your Profile
  • AN entrepreneurial Sales/business development executive with a proven track record of market growth and delivering on the bottom line
  • Able to plan and communicate thinking/vision in a strategic manner
  • Previous experience in managing a sales team in some capacity is a must and a proven history in a high-growth style business would
  • Strong analytical and administrative skills including working knowledge of basic Microsoft products
