Job Description

●      Provides commercial decision-making support to the local management team as requested. ●      Ensures the local entity complies with all local Egyptian tax laws, including but not limited to income tax, stamp tax, social security, employee tax, eInvoicing, and VAT. ●      Assist the HQ team with month-end close. This includes, but is not limited to, expense allocations, local supplier management, management account reviews, and liaising with local team members. ●      The primary point of contact for local external audits. Must manage the audit process end-to-end. Support will be given by the HQ team. ● Spearheaded finance projects in the region, including managing change. ●      Management of local finance partnerships. ●      Assisting with accounting policy development and implementation. ●      Identifying, evaluating, and managing risk. ●      Work closely with the regional commercial head(s) on conceptualizing and executing business and financial targets in a manner that is consistent and appropriate with the overall business strategy and vision. ●      Assisting the HQ FP&A team with budgeting and forecasting cycles. ●      Build robust professional relationships with colleagues in local and global teams, creating a reputation as an empathetic, practical, and influential co-worker. ●      Ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.

Job Requirements

●      Proven experience of at least 10 -15 years in finance. ●      Qualified CPA preferred. ●      Master’s degree a bonus. ●      Fluent in Arabic and English. ●      Egypt GAAP & IFRS knowledge essential. ●      Strong experience working with taxes ●      Resilient and Agile ●      Extensive experience in process development and improvement is essential. ●      Experience working in a role with multi-disciplinary reporting lines is essential. ●      Experience working in a cross-cultural organization is essential. ●      Technology/e-commerce background is highly preferred. ●      Previous high-growth start-up experience is preferred. ●      Advanced Excel skills. ●      Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize important projects. ●      Excellent communication skills.
