Here, urological surgery is performed for the people of Auckland and surrounding areas. General urological procedures are done and kidney stones are removed. On behalf of the above hospital, we are looking for a urologist, with a sub-specialisation in kidney stone removal. This is a full-time position, for a minimum of one year. This period can also be extended, possibly even to a permanent position. The suitable candidate will work in the team of urologists dealing with general urological procedures. In addition, also treating kidney stones for the entire population of Auckland, over half a million people. Patients requiring highly specialised treatment also come from all over the country. You will work at the 2 sites, the hospital where you operate and participate in a rota on an on-call basis. In the clinic located close to the hospital, the day operations are done, and therefore you will also work there part of the time. Completed training as a urologist is required to apply, as you will need to register with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Important in this regard is a flawless previous history and experience of working in a team. Having an interest in conducting research is also desirable and opportunities for this will also be offered. Your role within the team will mainly be the removal of kidney stones.
