As a Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase withinConsumer & Community Banking in the Global Banking Platform, your role will involve collaboration with executives, product owners, and engineers, driving the development and ownership of platform architecture and leading solution designs for platform advancement initiatives. Beyond having strong technical expertise, your capacity to foster partnership and influence across diverse teams is crucial. Your self-driven approach, execution skills, leadership qualities and the ability to identify and address opportunities and enhancements in a dynamic environment, will be pivotal in this role. Job responsibilities
- Development, upkeep, and promotion of the technology strategy, target state and architecture models corresponding to the product roadmap
- Create modern, secure, resilient, scalable, and operable architecture solution designs that align with firm-wide patterns, compliance controls and standards
- Develops multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities
- Creates scalable design frameworks using appropriate software architecture
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Serves as the function’s go-to subject matter expert. Champions the firm’s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
- Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that improves velocity and quality of output across teams and function
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 15+ years applied experience in building and operating large scale platforms
- Engineering experience in building scaled and resilient solutions in AWS Cloud
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Expertise in Microservices, Interfaces, Events and APIs based architecture solutions
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, data, security, devops)
- Expertise in Java or other modern programming languages.
- Advanced knowledge in AWS areas such as: Compute, Networking, Data & Analytics, Security. Ability to present and effectively communicate to Senior Leaders and Executives.
- Certifications in AWS solutions, specialty areas and/or Kubernetes.
