Position Overview: CPS (Commercial Products Supply) is a key part of the Advantaged Supply Chain of the Technical Function of The Coca-Cola Company. The CPS division of Coca-Cola manufactures concentrates and beverage bases for sale to bottling partners all over the world. This global organization manages a network of 19 manufacturing plants in 18 different countries along with 2 office locations (Atlanta & Drogheda, Ireland). CPS also manages complex additional materials supply chains (e.g., juice, coffee, tea, milk, etc.) on behalf of bottling partners. The Ireland Director, Planning and Logistics is a key member of the Ballina Plant leadership team, and will be responsible for Planning, Inventory Management and Transportation & Logistics Operations and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) execution to ensure continuity of supply. This role is responsible to ensure there is a current monthly Master Production Plan and a weekly Production Schedule which includes setting up the overall production priorities to meet customer demand, forecasts, finished goods inventory and production line efficiency goals. At the same time, this role is also responsible for all inbound activities such as import, customs clearance and transportation; while also ensuring export activities, including shipping of finished goods to the bottling plants happens On Time and In Full all the time. KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure there is an established master plan and weekly and daily production schedule for both Ballina, which converts immediate and future demand (forecast, customer orders, customer schedules, commercialization timeline etc.) into a feasible production plan, to ensure matched sets of resources (e.g. materials, man power, equipment capacity, etc.) are available to meet the needs of customers in a cost-effective and production efficient manner.
  • Lead the Monthly Sales & Operations Planning review meeting for both Ballina, highlighting critical business issues and bottlenecks that may potentially impact the achievement of the Master Plan and overall plant objectives.
  • Manage all inbound and outbound transportation operations ensuring on time delivery of both inbound and outbound shipment to meet business needs.
  • Provide business strategy recommendations to ensure cost-efficient means of multimodal transportation.
  • Working with Global Supply Chain team define and drive towards optimal plant inventory levels of Finished Products, taking into consideration complexities in volume, product portfolio, shelf-life and mandated stock levels; while minimize inventory at risk and inventory write-off’s through a solid MRB process.
  • Ensure that contingency supply points have all the necessary information (labels, formulas) required for the activation of contingency procedures whenever required.
  • Working with Global Supply Chain team define and implement Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Enterprise Risk Management to ensure there are well developed and tested plans and solutions in place.
  • Measure actual supply chain key metrics performance vs. goals on a regular basis and present strategies for improvement and sustainability.
  • Propose year on year productivity improvements, in order to optimize the concentrate supply and distribution processes.
  • Ensure CPS Planning Standards are fully embedded across both plants.
  • Continuously review the Planning and Logistics Function, focusing on team structure & scope, sustainable capability development, process standardisation and systems and measurement.
RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Supply chain and operational leadership roles in manufacturing operations in food, pharmaceutical or chemical industry required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, Business, Economics, Manufacturing or Supply Chain. Post graduate degree (e.g., MBA) is a preference.
  • Track record of executing business results including people and change management in a supply chain environment.
  • Previous experience in supply chain roles (supply chain expert).
  • Supply chain thought leadership, business acumen.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience managing relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Executing in a complex portfolio / matrixed business.
  • Excellent English spoken and written skills.
  • Previous experience in multiple functions within CPS or equivalent organization.
  • Technical qualifications in supply chain engineering, or operations management
