Business Function Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions - whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services. The bank is also a certified Accredited Training Organisation (ATO) for the Singapore Qualification Programme by the Singapore Accountancy Commission and an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Approved Employer. Regional Balance Sheet Management plays the stewardship role across locations which DBS operates in. Key focus areas span across Balance Sheet Management, with responsibilities covering asset-liability management, liquidity management, capital, and funding planning. Contribute to the governance of balance sheet, liquidity management, funding, and analytics of balance sheet across the locations. Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the preparation of presentations to key stakeholders, including Group and Location ALCOs.
  2. Monitor macro, industry and regulatory developments across the locations and highlight implications for bank's balance sheet.
  3. Analyze daily/ weekly balance sheet movements and trends.
  4. Understand the impact of various risk and regulatory constraints on balance sheet i.e. Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), Net Stable Fund Funding Ratio (NSFR).
  5. Understand key driver, cross interactions and sensitivities of key balance sheet ratios and impact of various balance sheet strategies on these ratios.
  6. Steer the funding resources from in country and head office to maximize shareholders' returns in a long-term sustainable manner. Ensure that the balance sheet (B/S) is efficient, prudent and in line with Group strategies.
Qualification & Experience
  • University degree in Business, Accounting, Economics or Finance. Open to other disciplines (e.g. Engineering) with relevant experience in banking industry. CFA would be looked upon favourably.
  • Work experience in banking sector or consultancy firm with exposure to banking.
  • Experience in ALM (Asset Liability Management) a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg/ Reuters.
