About the role Lead a team of business analysts providing data driven solutions to Payments and Platform business. The role will require you to identify opportunities for business growth and help business meet their KPIs through use of analytical insights and AI. You will engage in strategy discussions with business stakeholders as well as senior management. This team is responsible to deliver on data related requests including deepdive analysis, simulations, develop Control Towers and dashboards. As a team lead you will also be responsible for resource planning as well as quantification of value delivered. Your role is also crucial as a subject matter expert to drive adoption of Control Towers for decision making and promote learning through experiments. Responsibilities

  • Lead data driven decision making in Payments and Platform
  • Understand consumer Payment products in DBS including - Cards, Unsecured Loans, Paylah!, Paynow, cashless adoption and Overseas Payment.
  • Understand various aspects of payment products and the processes involved - types of payment methods, channels, transaction types, etc. Understand customer engagement methods - prospecting, click through journey, portfolio management, etc
  • Work closely with Product, Marketing, Risk, Regional, Finance and Operations teams to develop new strategies, build seamless customer journeys, drive better customer experience.
  • Create customer and business impact:
    • Utilize Data Driven Operation Model (DDOM) to maximize value from data and drive business impact with product partners
    • Drive cognitive and automated banking initiatives through Machine learning models development and automation of control towers
    • Identify key trends, provide insights on performance & causality and identify opportunities to deepen customer engagement
    • Be customer obsessed. Drive deeper understanding of consumer needs and preferences Analyse customer behaviour and help design campaigns/experiments to drive customer engagement and marketing effectiveness

  • Able to influence decision-making through clear story-telling; Simplify complex concepts and deliver the ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Actively define and drive Martech initiatives;
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) with a minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in data analytics and business intelligence, with several years of experience in managing data analytics product delivery
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; Highly numerate with keen eye for details and accuracy;
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to explain complex concepts with simplicity. Strong ability to present and communicate to senior management;
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations with stakeholders with discerning tact.
  • Growth mindset; Open to transformation capabilities in the organisation; Actively promote and encourage adoption of enterprise transformation initiatives
  • Well versed with data analytics techniques like predictive, prescriptive, ML and AI.
  • Preferred but not mandatory:
    • Past experience in data management and analytics in the banking industry
    • Proficiency on coding skills - Experience to manipulate in handling big data; Ability to run queries for data extraction;
    • Preferred knowledge on statistical languages including SQL, Python, Pyspark
