Business Function Risk Management Group (RMG) is responsible for the development and maintenance of risk management and internal control frameworks. We provide independent review and challenge to business to ensure that appropriate balance is considered in risk/return decisions. In addition, RMG is responsible for the monitoring and reporting on key risk issues of the Bank. To manage risk effectively and deliver strong financial performance, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure. Job Purpose This is a role in Regional Consumer Banking Group ("CBG") Credit team, supporting Head, CBG Credit - Regional Governance, Credit Risk & Portfolio Management to drive key strategic collection strategic initiatives to achieve robust consumer credit risk collection management capabilities.

  • Support the development of Collection Strategies to drive and achieve heightened standard in CBG Credit Collection
  • Leverage on data, dashboard for Collection efficiency and effectiveness (including productivity) analysis, in order to help the Bank achieve optimal level of risk-reward balance for CBG portfolios.
Key Accountabilities
  • Strong Consumer Collection Management to implement heightened standards in managing consumer lending products (secured and unsecured) & best-in-class collections strategy.
  • Horizontal Organisation and Data Driven Operating Model ("DDOM") mindset based on analytics-based insights on Consumer Collection Management to drive and improve customer & employee journeys and portfolio performance.
  • Regional "gold standard" Collection practices for all key consumer lending products.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Drive heightened standards on Collection and improve collection management efficiencies and effectiveness, in line with best practices in the industry, including usage of data analytics, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) and Generative AI (from Product Owner perspective).
  • Formulate effective collection strategies to guide locations to manage delinquency flow, and loss mitigation. Implement regional strategies and initiatives to improve Collector's and Recovery's productivity leveraging on collection efficiency and effectiveness dashboards.
  • Support all Collection Strategy and Collection data management requirements of the team including but not limited to monitoring of strategies, data extraction, champion - challenger analysis Drive continuous improvement in processes and controls to gain efficiency and productivity while reducing customers' complaints and improve customers' journey.
  • Collaborate with Policy team to enhance Collections-related Standards and Guides.
Experience
  • The candidate should have at least 10 years of Consumer Collection Management experience across the region. In addition, the candidate should preferably possess hands-on technical knowledge in the following complementary work experience in:
    • Consumer Credit Risk Policy
    • Consumer Credit Risk Analytics
    • Consumer lending digitalisation and automation infrastructure and capabilities
  • Degree holder, preferably in risk management/ quantitative discipline
  • Good understanding and knowledge of credit cycle management in a consumer credit environment is a plus.
  • Good inter-personal, communication & writing skills.
  • Meticulous with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
