Software Development Lead | Start-Up

They are seeking a talented individual to lead the software development efforts , shape the product roadmap, and contribute significantly to enhancing patient accessibility and clinician productivity Role Overview: Reporting to the CEO, the Software Development Lead will have a focus on product management and will play a crucial role in shaping the software narrative of our healthcare products. This position, based in Cork with an initially remote work model , invites you to make a tangible impact on human lives through digital healthcare. While the role is advertised as a lead position, our client is open to considering slightly more junior candidates who can step into the lead remit over time. In lieu of lead title/experience, candidates should come with experience managing or leading software projects within their teams. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the formulation and execution of the software product roadmap in collaboration with the Product Owner.
• Drive the development of software products aligned with the strategic roadmap, engaging hands-on as necessary.
• Direct the entire tech stack development and collaborate closely with the Product Owner to prioritise backlogs and workloads.
• Engage and supervise third-party software developers.
• Ensure compliance of software products with relevant quality and medical device standards.
• Define software processes and advocate for best engineering practices within the company by challenging existing internal processes.
• Collaborate with the product management function to align development efforts with overall product strategy.

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Showcase more than 4 years of hands-on experience in full-stack software development.
• Experience managing and guiding software related projects to completion.
• Possess proficiency in React, React Native, Node.JS, and AWS.
• Proven experience in creating and managing product roadmaps.
• Exhibit an ability to adapt and contribute proactively in ambiguous and dynamic startup environments.
• Be self-driven, proactive, and focused on delivering impactful outcomes.
• Experience in a lead or senior role is a distinct advantage.

• Background as a product owner in scrum or other formal product management.
• Experience in software development for regulated medical software.
• Expertise in defining software processes and engineering practices within a startup environment.
