Overview

The main objective of the role is to prepare high quality management accounts, insightful financial analysis and assist the various business units achieve financial efficiencies. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual who would like to join a high-profile team. You will have exposure to all aspects of the daa business working closely across all daa Business Units areas, gain an excellent understanding of how these various business units operate and key support to Cost Efficiency Controller.

Qualifications

  • Experience of preparation of monthly management accounts, analysis and reports with strong attention to detail and accuracy and in adherence to the group reporting timelines.
  • Preparation of detailed analytical reviews on a monthly basis for various business units in an effort to provide greater transparency into reported numbers.
  • Preparation of presentations and developing reports related to financial and non-financial metrics (KPIs).
  • Preparation of financial projections for operational business cases and capital expenditure proposals.
  • Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure.
  • Meet tight deadlines on a regular basis.
  • Team player, proactive, with excellent prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to plan, think strategically and work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, negotiating and leadership skills required and proven effectiveness at working directly with senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification.
  • Committed to daa values & leadership standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed monthly management accounts, analysis and reports with strong attention to detail and accuracy and in adherence to the group reporting timelines.
  • Prepare detailed analytical reviews on a monthly basis for various business units in an effort to provide greater transparency into reported numbers.
  • Prepare, present, and develop reports related to financial and non-financial metrics (KPIs).
  • Preparation of financial projections for operational business cases and capital expenditure proposals.
  • Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor the financial performance of the various Business Units against budget and highlight variances/non-performance issues as appropriate.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Key Support to Cost Efficiency Controller.
  • Develop strong working relationships with relevant Business Leads and key internal stakeholder groups.
  • Actively partner with the Business Leads, ensuring the provision of accurate and concise financial information to facilitate the business with strategic decision making.
  • Collaborate with our finance teams on building out our sustainability reporting requirements.
