itContracting are currently seeking applicants for a Senior Business Analyst. This is a day rate contract position located with our client in Dublin. This is a hybrid role, and is for 6 months initial duration, with multiple possible extensions (up to 2 years). Responsibilities:
- Responsible for working with subject matter experts, selected vendor to analyse and document current and future operational processes and performance indicators to ensure successful implementation of the programme.
- Responsible for providing recommendations to improve operational effectiveness, how to reduce costs, and improve the employee and customer experience.
- Collaborate across stakeholder groups to generate and document business requirements and operational impacts of new technologies, systems and processes.
- Support structured analysis of project issues and risks.
- Work with SMEs to identify and document options to resolve or mitigate issues and risks.
- Support SMEs across multiple Dublin Bus departments with development of structured approaches and documented action plans to deliver the required change departmental goals.
- Support the development of migration scenarios, test scenarios, documentation of issues and workarounds.
- Support change management activities associated with roll-out and embedding of new technologies, systems and processes.
- Lead the development and documentation of proposed future operational processes, informed by the capabilities and limitations of the new technology.
- Development migration approach with input from SMEs.
- Identify financial, technical and operational risks and opportunities associated with the migration to the new technology.
- Present complex information in a way that can be understood by management to enable effective decision-making.
- Help the business to cost-effectively implement technology improvements and solutions.
- Identify and document wider organisational impacts of project changes.
- Identify opportunities to increase productivity / reduce costs through operational process analysis.
- Recommend and implement key measures to improve management information on project benefits / operational efficiencies e.g., performance dashboards.
- Support ongoing monitoring and tracking of project benefits / operational improvement initiatives.
- Research, review and document industry best practice.
- NFQ Level 7-degree level qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- The successful candidate will have experience in major IT systems migration programmes which drive significant business and operational change.
- 10+ years’ experience in business analysis, to include significant experience of major systems migration programmes involving data mapping and identification of business change impacts.
- Experienced supporting projects to deliver new technology and/or new processes and ways of working.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong relationship building skills.
- Experience applying business analysis skills in a practical setting.
- Experience in a transport operations or logistics environment would be an advantage.
