Job Opportunity Stepping Stones Pre / After School Rathowen is seeking an Early Years Manager. Stepping Stones is a community-based service in a rural setting. We have preschool in the mornings and afterschool in the afternoons. We are in operation since 2001 and we established the first After School service in the county. We now have the pleasure of welcoming second generations to our service. Stepping Stones is committed to the provision of high-quality care and education in early years. We consider each child as an individual and develop our curriculum and activities around their interests. We offer: • A competitive salary • Minimum hours available 25 hours • Supportive training and growth What we require: • Have a minimum of QQI Level 6 in Childcare, Level 7 preferable. • Experience in a creche management is an advantage and is preferable but not a necessity as there will be support and training for the successful candidate. • Day to day running of the school • General compliance with Tusla statutory obligations • First Aid • Compliance with Pobal inspections and inspectors • Compliance with kitchen inspections and inspectors • Garda vetting • Acceptance, recording and safe keeping of children’s records • Staff rosters • Daily checking of staff hours / timesheets for payroll • Monitoring of school classroom registers, children’s observation records, class journal and individual journals with preschool supervisor • Statutory record keeping for all ECCE & NCS • Tusla compliance in staff record keeping • Organisation of support meeting with staff / committee • Break cover in classroom when needed • Organisation of school advertisements / events • The ability to lead a team • The ability to self-motivate and meet targets and deadlines. • Knowledge of Aistear Framework and Síolta Standards and Child Led / Emergent curriculum and documentations of the curriculum • Ability to work in partnership with staff and parents keeping the child at the heart of what we do • Team Player • Ensure a safe secure and healthy environment for children, staff and visitors to our school • Strong communication skills • Good computer skills • Full, Clean drivers license Job Type-Full-time, with scope for flexi hours. Minimum hours being 25hrs per week.
