Roles

  • Undertaking research on sustainable freight best practices and emerging green technologies;
  • Research and preparing easy to understand presentations on existing freight policies;
  • Research on emerging Trends and Global Practices of Supply chain management;
  • Identifying freight data requirements and data analysis;
  • Fleet Sustainability reviews;
  • Freight management strategies;
  • Network Planning, Vehicle routing, scheduling and fleet sizing;
  • Research and review proposals for both technical and economic impact;
  • Completion of tasks assigned on time and to WSP’s expected standards;
  • Take ownership of tasks assigned and search for solutions where required;
  • To work under tutelage of Seniors within iCRC and the UK on data / statistical analysis tasks prior to incorporating the data into the strategic models;
  • Be a core member of WSP’s Logistics and Freight team, with key focus on detail and quality;
  • Zeal to grow self and dedication towards working independently/ with minimal guidance where required;
  • Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies;
  • Clear communication (verbal and written) with colleagues in India and the UK on all matters – project related technical communication and day-to-day matters;
  • Support in writing segments of technical reports and notes;
  • Work within project constraints; such as time, budget and resource;
  • Attend and contribute in team and project meetings; and
  • Complete accurate timesheets by set deadline.
Skills Required : Freight management, Logistics Management, consulting, Network Planning, Vehicle routing, Supply Chain Management Education/Qualification : B.Tech/Diploma/ Transport planning Role : Responsibilities   Understanding of concepts and components of Urban Logistics Ecosystem • Understanding of concepts and components of Supply Chain Management • Transport Planning and General principles; • Adaptability & Learning, • Ability to work as part of a team and to work under guidance; • An understanding of the necessity to work within prescribed timeline and budget constraints; • Good understanding MS Office applications with focus on Word and Excel • Paper presented at / published in recognised national / internal journal(s)/ conference(s) will be highly desirable; Experience : 2 to 4 Years
