For this role, we are open to remote work and can hire anywhere in Philippines About the opportunity The Director of Resource Management (RM) is the "glue" function in our Services organization - working between the Delivery and Consulting Resources team to ensure staffing strategy as well as facilitate the assignment of the right resources to the right customer projects at the right time. Additionally, the Director of RM will be responsible for the System Integrator Partner Enablement activities, as well as Staff Augmentation hiring, and department operational tasks as needed. The Director of Resource Management (RM) anticipates needs of the project leadership and works with the RM team and the business to ensure resources are in place. The Director of RM possesses a deep knowledge of the skills, capabilities, and utilization of the resources within their portfolio. The Director of RM meets with the Delivery and Consulting Managers regularly to discuss the growth needs, demand planning, prioritizes and understand overall challenges. The Director of RM is responsible for coordinating with the global resourcing team to leverage resources across organizational lines and to position outside contractors when needed to fulfill immediate demand. The Director of RM will play a pivotal role in identifying and mitigating risks for staff planning. The Director of RM reports to the Director, Consulting Services APJ. What you’ll get to do

  • Work with the business in APJ to identify and define staffing needs and priorities as well as work with Resource Managers to identify most appropriate resources to fulfill those needs
  • Manage, coach and support Resource Managers and provide appropriate back-up support as needed
  • Provide analysis and maintain metrics for the business such as availability, utilization and identify issues and trends
  • Work with Resource Managers, Consulting Resources and Delivery to maintain the scheduled projects, availability, etc. for the portfolio of resources
  • Drive a process to ensure that skills for portfolio of resources are maintained
  • Drive processes to ensure that role changes and system updates impacting Resource Management are documented as part of the Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions
  • Ensure that RM team members are up to date with training as well as responsibilities to perform duties effectively and bridge any learning gaps
  • Work with leaders to adjust resource assignments based on change to timeline, additional skills required, etc.
  • Develop and manage capacity and demand reports for the portfolio of resources
  • Meet with Delivery and Consulting leadership frequently to ensure staffing needs, utilization potential, shortages and surpluses are proactively identified across portfolios
  • Collaborate with global resource management teams to ensure consistent processes are in place and to leverage resources across the organization to fulfill demand
  • Creates and disseminates content rearming resourcing topics to shape process within the team, drive consistency, and set expectations of leaders in the organization
  • Collaborate with global outsourcing to fulfill staff augmentation requirements
  • Work with global Services team to evaluate and operationalize creating capacity of resources in all locations and support projects based on budget allocation and costs management of resources
  • Work with System Integrator (SI) Partners to understanding demand and capacity planning for enablement activities and identify projects that will support these needs
  • Understand staffing priorities in the pipeline for SI partner projects and work internally to staff these projects
  • Create documentation around SI Partner processes for Partners and internal teams.
  • Provide insights to Director, Consulting APJ as well as global leadership on region resource performance against resourcing objective
  • Work on utilization management and reporting for Staff Augmentation Partners
  • Contribute to and support the Global and Local leadership team with their growth targets particularly with respect to improving and scaling operational systems, methods, and processes

Skills and experience we value
  • BS or BA required, MBA or other advanced degree highly preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in progressive leadership
  • 5+ years’ experience working in the consulting industry
  • 5+ years managing Resource Management teams
  • Experience in scaling organizations preferred
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; proven ability to influence senior leadership
  • Exceptional metrics-focus with ability to use analytics to solve problems and develop solutions
  • Skilled Experience working with Salesforce or Financial Force
  • Strong background in leading software implementation projects including experience developing project team structures and governance models
  • Experience in the HCM industry preferred
  • Excellent understanding of consulting services staffing processes
  • Proven experience in change management and business process mapping
  • Demonstrated blend of strategic and operational experience leading and developing highly skilled teams
  • Deep understanding of different industries and how Ceridian implementation best practices apply to the customer’s business practices
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce
  • Ability to leverage analytical skills to influence key strategic decisions What would make you really stand out
  • Experience in personnel demand planning, forecasting, and reporting
  • Deep understanding of the performance levers and KPIs needed to run a successful consulting organization
  • Autonomously resolves conflict, escalates as needed
  • Succinctly states ideas, calls out risks, challenges and impact and proposes solutions/paths forward for resolving conflict
  • 10+ years or more experience in resource management, process and/or operations management
  • Experience in personnel demand planning, forecasting, and reporting and scaling organizations
  • Ability to build rapport and gain trust with all levels of personnel
  • Strong proficiency using Windows and related software such as Microsoft business products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced, multi-task environment
  • Ability to work at both a detailed/tactical level as well as provide input into strategic initiatives for the region
  • Ability to think clearly under pressure
  • Strong logic and reasoning skills
