With your specialism in environmental management, or your technical or sustainability expertise, your work could involve protected species, pollution, surface water and materials management, air quality or noise. And in some of the world’s busiest and most beautiful locations.We work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. Around the world, we’re feeling the effects climate change, rapid urbanization, loss of biodiversity. The rate at which we’re seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent. We are here to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations.Role accountabilities:Working on large infrastructure projects with a focus on environmental aspects you will develop processes and tools which support data driven decision making. The role will be to provide GIS support on a range of projects to both internal and external clients. You will need to establish strong relationships with internal Project Managers and technical leads in the wider Business Sectors. Identification and development of internal & external geospatial business opportunities will also be expected.Meeting with internal clients to determine GIS requirementsDocumentation of technical work and creation of process diagrams.Use of coding, automation and technology for project delivery.Providing leadership and technical advice to junior project team members.Data Management (digital data capture, analysis and validation)Map productionSpatial and 3D analysisDesign and build spatial and non-spatial databasesUsing coding (Python) or modelling to expedite tasks and create project efficienciesProviding critical GIS input to delivering projects on time and budget.Qualifications & Experience:Extensive working knowledge of GIS.Experience of working within environmental disciplines.Experience with ESRI Model Builder or FME.Experience in developing and maintaining web GIS and/or enterprise GIS technologies.Experience in mobile applications such as Collector for ArcGIS, Survey 123, Workforce.Desirable Experience:Experience of creating processes for calculation of environmental metrics.Experience of Remote Sensing/Earth Observation techniques.Experience of Environmental consultancy including working with ecologists, environmental planners and designers.Working knowledge of Autodesk applications (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit).Working Knowledge of Bentley Microstation and ProjectWise.Working knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise (Server, ArcSDE, Portal for ArcGIS, Datastore) and ArcGIS OnlineWhy Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
