Daylesford’s flagship farmshop in the Cotswolds is complemented by 4 farmshops and cafes in central London, and a growing ecommerce platform.Bamford – from its foundations offering sustainable body care, skincare, clothing and home, Bamford has grown into a wellbeing brand offering beautiful, effective, and ethical products in stores and across its range of spas.Daylesford Stays - our hospitality division encompasses a collection of traditional Cotswold-stone cottages and modern British Inns: The Wild Rabbit, The Fox at Oddington, The Bell at Charlbury and The Three Horseshoes at Asthall.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Senior Copywriter reports into our Marketing Director in the Customer Team.Working across Daylesford Organic and Daylesford Stays, this role will be integral in bringing the rich, authentic stories we have across our brands to life. Differentiating and elevating our retail and hospitality offering from competitors, you will grow our audience and engage our target audience with our luxury lifestyle brand and products.In this role you will be required to demonstrate fluent and creative writing skills and the ability to comfortably adopt any given tone of voice. Your focus will be on developing brand copy that will inform and delight our audiences, distributed primarily on owned channels as well as supporting on external content, through partnerships, collaborations, events and awards. You will have a knowledge of digital marketing methods with a focus on content and SEO, along with excellent project management skills.YOUR ROLEContent creation: write high-quality and engaging content across different formats. Ensure content delivers on its objectives and is aligned to each brand’s TOV and messaging. Your exceptional written content will help communicate our brand stories to new and existing audiences and will include crafting copy for seasonal campaigns and product launches, as well as taglines and annual marketing moments, such as Easter and Christmas.Website: support our ecommerce teams with compelling copy for landing page and product descriptions that will help persuade a customer to take the desired action online.Digital marketing copy: from social captions to CRM and referral programmes - you will understand each of our channels and their content requirements, supplying copy that engages, cuts-through and is platform-first.Editorial: work with our internal experts as well as external contributors to create editorial content, from recipes with guest chefs to wellness tips with leading nutritionists, to support each brand with its content calendar.Support with written copy for printed collateral, events (both internal and external) & partnerships along with signage.SEO: work with our agency to create high-quality content that is optimised for SEO and will help us rank highly in search engines for key pages on each of our websites.PR: work with our PR team on crafting press releases, coming up with engaging angles and conveying key information in a compelling way to help us secure coverage in top media titles.Brand consistency: maintain consistency across all content channels and ensure that messaging and tone align with brand guidelines. Enforce and develop our tone of voice guidelines to uphold each brand’s individual voice and values.Content distribution: work with the wider marketing team on content distribution across multiple platforms and channels – leveraging organic and paid channels to maximise reach and engagement.Passion for content and a sustainable way of life: continue to be inspired to ensure we understand the latest industry trends, content marketing best practices and emerging technologies to continually bring innovative ideas and techniques to the content creation process.SKILLS YOU WILL BRING5+ years’ experience in a content role.Copywriting: exceptional attention to detail and the finest grammatical points to deliver faultless copy.Creative thinking: able to come up with new and innovative ways of storytelling while staying true to our brand TOV and values.Brand guardian: able to work flexibly across different brands, whilst being the gatekeeper to the tone of voice for each individual brand.Collaborator: ability to work seamlessly with our wider teams to create the best possible content across all channels.Multi-tasking: ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment and deliver content within the required deadlines.Natural curiosity: ability to research and effectively enquire from other teams to acquire the little gems of information that elevate ordinary copy to the extraordinary.
