At DBS, the Capital Markets Group provides equity funding solutions to our corporate clients in the region, and acts as an intermediary between issuers and our investing clients. We advise and sponsor our clients in their equity fund-raising exercises in connection with their listing ambitions on regional stock exchanges. We help our clients to raise equity funds through primary offering and/or secondary offering of shares and REITs, as well as pre-IPO platform. Responsibilities Business Support

  • Responsible for co-ordination with relevant stakeholders to initiate, manage and facilitate timely completion & quality execution on business support related initiatives or tasks, and in line with Group level expectations.
  • Track and process equity underwriting requests and ensure accurate and timely chalking and un-chalking of the underwriting limits, with close monitoring on the limit.
  • Partner internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely completion of funds transfer, remittance, and reporting for Electronic Shares Applications/Rights Issue Applications.
  • Guide deal team on the settlement processes for various project scenarios.
  • Collate the Out-Of-Pocket Expenses (OPE) for projects, process the payments and billing by Finance teams.
  • Responsible for the monthly accruals, flash reporting, fee income, GST, aging reports, project current accounts, etc.
  • Support on deal marketing collaterals such as the update and proper version control on business awards, credential slides, issuer profile, and print and bind the presentation material.
  • Facilitate follow-up on relationship manager, transaction enquiries through collaboration with Finance/Tax and other stakeholder teams.
  • Responsible for timely submission of transaction reports to various support units in the bank.
Transaction Data Management
  • Responsible in ensuring that transaction accounts like nominees, trading, etc., database and system accesses are granted only one a need-to-basis.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate update on transaction-related data.
  • Collate, track, and ensure accuracy on the key metrics on transactions for department scorecard and reports.
  • Provide accurate, consistent, and timely transaction-related data, such as fees, income, revenue, upon request.
  • Ensure deal profile, awards are updated in various publications such as the Intranet, CM Connect, etc.
COO Initiatives and Support
  • Participate actively in the development and refinement of internal control and processes for enhancing internal operational efficiency, including ad hoc reviews/ exercises/ projects.
  • Support COO on trend analysis, reporting and/or implementation of bank-wide initiatives.
Requirements
  • University degree with around 8 years of related work experience, preference for those with Operations or Finance experience supporting Capital Markets.
  • Experience in business support, MIS reporting and project management experience in the banking industry preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to details, and ability to multi-task and great team player are required.
  • Mature, energetic and self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong sense of ownership with ability to work independently and in a team environment, with growth mindset.
  • Able and willing to commit time and support during peak seasons.
  • Able communicate effectively (both verbal & written).
  • Proficient in MS Excel. Knowledge of MS PowerPoint will be an advantage.
