We continue to build the team and are always looking for exceptional candidates to join Foodtastic.Director of Real Estate - Summary of the RoleReporting to the VP, Real Estate, the Director of Real Estate is responsible for the negotiation of new lease terms and renewals of existing leases in our distinctive portfolio in Canada.*On-site: 9300 Transcanadienne, Suite 310, St-Laurent, QC, H4S 1K5*Responsibilities:Negotiate lease terms for new locations and renewals of existing leasesProvide strategic support to business operators and the Real Estate Team to achieve the organization's business objectives for leased real estateEstablish trusted and credible external relationships with the landlord and broker communityPartner and collaborate closely with key internal senior leaders to provide guidance and understanding of the retail market of the real estate environmentAct as a point of contact for real estate issues internallySupervise the lease administration process to ensure accurate interpretation and execution of agreed upon lease termsParticipate as an integral member of the Real Estate Team by maintaining excellent working relationships with colleagues across all banners, offering assistance, information, sharing knowledge, opinions and business explanations.Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of experience in a real estate position with previous team management experienceExcellent understanding of Canadian retail landscapeStrong business and financial acumen to understand/provide context for decisions; ability to challenge and also influence decisions when requiredExcellent communication skills and ability to speak and write clearly and concisely to get messages across that have the desired effectExcellent negotiation skillsDemonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and confidentialityAbility to interact with multiple stakeholders and proactively anticipate their needsStrong analytical skills to assess and analyze deals, and able to review and negotiate leases and renewal documentationAs an Foodtastic employee we will offer you the opportunity to be part of a brand allowing you to showcase and develop skills in the industry.
