The role of the Real Estate Manager will be:- To negotiate all business terms for real estate transactions including offer to lease, amendments, retail leases and renewals for the company's various brands- To research, gather information including market intelligence on new sites and areas of development for the company's various brands- Must be knowledgeable with national and regional landlords for street front, office, enclosed malls, and outdoors shopping centre locations- Maintain and develop relationships with the landlord community- Professionally represent MTY by attending various industry, landlord and leasing events- Negotiate relocations, closures, rent reductions and/or expansion of existing units- Planification of strategic brand expansion while coordinating with different Band Managers- Set and attain yearly objectives for brand expansion- Coordinate and maintain relationships with MTY's brokers, consultants, and different Brand Leaders- Responsible for the coordination of all leasing documentation with the Legal department for proper execution- Responsible for the coordination with the Franchising Team for different brands to ensure proper execution of appropriate documentation- Coordinate with the construction team to resolve issues relating to construction delays, lease possessions and commencement dates- Ability to travel from time to time for the realisation of the above-mentioned duties and responsibilitiesKey Skills RequiredOrganizing and planningTime managementEffective Communication skillsSelf motivatedNegotiationsAbility to multi-task, prioritize and be flexible with changing business requirements in a team environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteQualificationsThe successful candidate will preferably have at least 3 years of commercial real estate experiencePost-secondary level or equivalent experience.
