National Procurement Officer - FMCG

Introduction
Procurement Officer required to support a multi-branch business using an ERP ordering system , overseeing a helpdesk system, management of the supplier database including trade agreements, comparative analysis, data accuracy and audits.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Support the various branches using a preferred supplier ordering system reducing ad hoc purchasing
* Load orders and update order system daily
* Load new products ensuring accurate data management of all products
* Source and appoint suppliers ensuring BEE and SME policy compliance
* Comparative analysis of existing trade agreements vs potential suppliers
* Negotiate new payment terms and trade discounts in the appointment of new suppliers
* Keep abreast of supplier pricing and conditions and update these on the system
* Regular supplier performance and compliance monitoring against trade agreements
* Quality performance management of suppliers auditing quarterly
* Identification of any supply issues, report on and take action
* Coordination of supplier promotions and specials negotiating these with suppliers at regular intervals
* Ensure all business units are kept informed regarding details of negotiated deals
* Respond to and action queries through the helpdesk as well as direct unit support
* Investigate and resolve supplier and cusotmer complaints
* Support the helpdesk, provide information related to changes to the buying manual etc.
* Research and development on inflation and other economic trends to ensure pricing is always market related
* Keep abreast of new products, innovations and suppliers to maximise on opportunities
Desired Experience & Qualification
* Matric and relevant tertiary qualification
* Previous corporate Head Office / multi branch / brand experience
* MS Office (strong Excel)
* AccPac or SAGE 300 advantageous
* Covid vaccination certificate - non-negotiable
* Good temperament to provide support, handle complaints with good reasoning skills
* Own vehicle
Package & Remuneration
R30 000 to R35 000 CTC, including Provident Fund, determined according to qualification and experience
