Cashier and Customer Service

Lina's Italian Market is hiring one cashier / customer service to join our team at Lina's Mercato on Elbow Drive!Lina's is all about great customer service and great shopping experience. Therefore, we are looking for a kind, people oriented with great communication skills candidate to join our staff.Main duties include:Handle cash transactions with customers using cash registersScan goods and collect paymentsIssue receipts, refunds, change or ticketsRedeem couponsMake sales referrals, cross-sell products and introduce new onesResolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant informationGreet customers when entering or leaving establishmentsMaintain clean and tidy checkout areasBag, box or wrap packagesPleasantly deal with customers to ensure satisfactionHelp with Lina's rewards programRequirements :Proven working experience in retail cashier or salesBasic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g. cash register, scanners, money counters, etc.)Strong communication and time management skillsCustomer satisfaction-orientedAttention to detail and mathematical skillsSales skillsHigh school degree*Experience as a barista is an asset - Experience preferred.Salary: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
