A well-established company that is providing direct marketing, brand strategy, and media mix modeling solutions to businesses, is looking for a Director/Senior Data Strategist. The selected candidate will be reporting directly to the VP of Innovation (Technology & Data Science) and will be in charge of leading new analytical projects to produce fresh, useful insights for clients. The U.S.-based company is utilizing world-class data-backed technology to provide businesses with brand-building and marketing strategies. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment.Job Responsibilities:Engage in technical analysis, architecture, design, programming, deployment, and maintenance as well as other elements of the development lifecycle.Investigate various aspects of products and experiences independentlyCollect and analyze user behavior using surveys, benchmark studies, server logs, ethnography, lab work, fieldwork, and online experiments (A/B testing)In-depth knowledge of diminishing returns analysis, propensity models, marketing mix modeling (MMM), and campaign test design to evaluate and inform clients' return on media investmentCollaborate with internal and external designers, product managers, project managers, business owners, developers, and other user experience researchers to prioritize research possibilities.Encourage the dissemination of research findings to a variety of audiences through written reports and in-person presentations by comprehending and incorporating complicated technical and business requirementsJob Requirements:Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a data scientist/strategist/analystProlific experience working with Python, R, and TableauDemonstrable experience with SQL/SQL DBs, MS Office Suite, and Google AnalyticsNice to have some knowledge of Adobe Cloud and SnowflakeDemonstrable ability to extract business insights from large datasets and use them to drive business changeExtensive experience performing analysis with large datasets and building reports and dashboards using business intelligence toolsPrior experience building out a modern analytics data stack is nice to haveExperience coding in different scripting languages like Python or RExtensive SQL knowledge, capacity to work with massive datasets, and aptitude for sophisticated queriesMust possess an impact-oriented mindset while experimenting with design, multivariate analysis, and statistical approachExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsTrack record of asking the right questionsFamiliarity with SDLC processes, particularly AgileKeen eye for detail and data integrityStrong desire for or experience in data science and machine learningPrior extensive, tactic experience in media dataExperience working with retailer data or with large, national retailers/grocers like Amazon, Walmart, Target, Kroger, or AlbertsonsCreate and implement SaaS-based applications that combine media and eCommerce dataDevelop, train, and produce new models to be used to optimize media and eCommerceCreate and elevate current analytics methodology, build a replicable statistical frameworkAssess business and marketing obstacles, discuss potential solutions, and put a plan into action in close collaboration with customers and account teamsWorking with the Data Engineering team to ensure that data procedures are automated and effective, model outputs and inputsPrior experience working for a high-tech startup is very desirableFluent in spoken and written English communication IT
